Several cricketers, including Virat Kohli, came out in support of Glenn Maxwell after he decided to take a break from professional cricket citing mental health issues.

After the 2020 season of the IPL, former India cricketer Virender Sehwag called Maxwell ‘a cheerleader worth 10 crores.’ The comment was made after Maxwell’s batting returns for Kings XI Punjab had dwindled drastically.
