Elon Musk & Grimes are living “semi-separated” and will co-parent their son X Æ A-Xii

It can be hard when a relationship ends, and that’s certainly true for Elon Musk & the musician Grimes. The couple welcomed their son X Æ A-Xii last year

In the latest episode of the Joe Rogan experience podcast, billionaire Elon Musk revealed that he and his singer girlfriend were ‘semi-separated.’ The couple became parents last year to son X Æ A-Xii.

Elon said to Page Six, “There is no drama in our personal life and we are living in different parts of the United States — but we see each other all the time and want the best for each other.” He added, “It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and baby X is in the adjacent room.”

The couple is dating and they have significant day jobs. Elon Musk is the CEO of Tesla and Space X while Grimes is a professional singer, known for her songs such as “Oblivion” and “Genesis.”

Elon Musk is a 50-year-old man who has had six other children with previous partners. Elon Musk has been married three times, both to Talulah Riley. Neither Grimes nor her son with Musk has ever been married.

Grimes and Elon welcomed their son to the world back in May 2020. After they revealed what his name is, there was a huge wave of online trolling. GRIMES later took to Twitter and explained that the X represents “the unknown variable”. This is why the name was given the spelling “AE”, which is an elven spelling of “I” or “Ai” for Artificial intelligence.

She also shared that part of the name is a tribute to the CIA’s Lockheed A-12 reconnaissance plane, which has “no weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent.” The A is really just Angel’s favorite song, Archangel. Her birthday coincides with the number 12 and she has the zodiac sign, rat.

Elon has said that it was Grimes who came up with the name. However, he has also said that the addition of A-12 was his idea as a nod to Lockheed’s other designation- Lockheed A-12.

Elon mentioned in an interview with NYT that Grimes has a big role as the parent to their baby. “We’re just feeding and changing machines, you know?” Said the dad. “Grimes does a lot more than me right now. When the baby gets older, he or she will need more from me.”
